Scott Peoples

Born in south central Pennsylvania, Scott Peoples was raised in a musically talented family. His grandfather, a jazz guitarist, whose music played on KDKA radio in Pittsburgh, was his biggest musical influence. His sister, a talented pianist & artist and his mother, blessed with a beautiful voice, both surrounded Scott with a great musical vibe. His father even today, is a popular DJ with a broad musical background, who hosts the Dickinson College radio show “Catching the Sun”. He developed a melodic sensibility and a passion for the great guitar riffs of the 80’s and 90’s. With musical influences varying from Eddie Van Halen, James Taylor, Jackson Browne, Joe Satriani, Eric Clapton and Steve Vai, he was transformed into a musician and singer songwriter with a love for great lyrics and equally great guitar work. Scott cut his musical teeth as a rock and roll weekend warrior for a number of rock and alternative bands, the most recent being Playn Jayn. The last few years have been devoted to refining his skills as a guitarist and song writer. His writing and playing style has evolved into what can be called “Americana”,where influences of country, rhythm and blues and rock-n-roll all come together and coexist. Scott released his first ever self-titled EP on January 4, 2013 and is working on his full length CD. Currently living in Harrisburg, PA his quest is to infuse the second half of his life with music, creativity and share it with others.

Please join Scott on his journey.
